The Development Specialist is responsible for assisting the Director of Development with all fundraising efforts to include events, public relations, marketing, grant writing and special campaigns. Responsibilities include donor relations, public speaking and social media.
Duties and responsibilities
· Assist in helping cultivate and maintain relationships with current donors ·
Assist in making personal contact with potential businesses and donors ·
Assist in maintaining an active public relations campaign including, but not limited to, social media, PBRC publications and contributing ideas to the web-site ·
Assist in increasing community awareness through innovative marketing ·
Assist with grant writing ·
Assist in planning and coordinating fund raising events ·
Coordinate tours and volunteers for events ·
Communicate to donors, civic groups, community leaders in a variety of public speaking engagements ·
Create and manage invoices, statements and thank you letters ·
Coordinate the receipt of donations, pledges and payments for all fundraising events with administration ·
Assist in maintaining and updating donor database ·
File and organize event documentation for audit purposes ·
Manage Memorials and Honorariums, including receipts and acknowledgments. ·
Assist with Telethon, Steakout, Christmas Carnival and other fundraising events as determined ·
Some local travel required for fundraising preparation and/or community events ·
Demonstrate professionalism and maintain consistent and reliable attendance. ·
Follow and maintain procedures set forth in the Permian Basin Human Resource Manual, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Manual ·
Preserve and protect patient confidentiality by complying and adhering to prescribed policies, procedures and HIPAA regulations outlined by Permian Basin Rehabilitation Center ·
Maintain a safe and clean working environment. ·
Comply with all safety and infection control procedures, rules and regulations.
Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor
