The 3rd annual State of Downtown Odessa Address will be held on Thursday, February 22, from 6pm to 8pm at The Rose Building. This event celebrates the successes and plans of downtown Odessa and honors downtown businesses and individuals. Guests will enjoy beer and wine, a plated dinner, presentations and updates from special guests, and an awards presentation.

Tables and tickets are on sale now! The Early Bird Special for tickets is $100 and ends 2/8/18. Tickets after this date will be $125.

8th Annual Battle of the Bluebonnets

Students from all 28 ECISD elementary campuses will compete in the "Battle of the Bluebonnets", a literacy event. 

These students (grades 3-5) have explored a variety of culturally diverse literature by reading the Texas Bluebonnet Award titles and will now test their content knowledge in game-show-type setting. 

Come out to support these students and their achievements.

The Ellen Noël Art Museum of the Permian Basin is hosting its 32nd annual Shrimpfest. This even serves as the Museum's largest and most successful fundraiser of the year with more than 1,200 people expected to attend. 

Guests are treated to unlimited Cajun shrimp, New Orleans style music and many opportunities to bid on a variety of unique items including pieces from local artists.

Forever Full Margarita Fiesta

Who We Are:
The West Texas Food Bank is the largest collaborative nonprofit agency in the Permian Basin. We proudly distribute food to children, families and seniors through a network of more than 65 partner agencies in 19 counties across 34,000 square miles of West Texas.

What We Do:
In fiscal year 2017 the West Texas Food Bank distributed 6 million pounds of food, of which 800,000 pounds was fresh produce and 3.5 million pounds was recovered from 23 partnering grocery stores in our region. Fresh produce was harvested in our greenhouses and planting beds was used in our pantries and nutrition education classes. Our Food 2 Kids program provided 38,908 weekend bags of food to 1,252 students in 22 schools across West Texas. The Kid’s Café program served 54,376 meals at five sites during the school year, and 39,327 meals at eight sites over the summer. Our generous community supported the distribution of over 500,000 pounds of food and supplies to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Lastly, for every one dollar donation, we can provide four meals to our hungry neighbors, and $.95 of every dollar goes right back into the community.
